The Aboveground Railroad

Hey folks,

We took the train from DC to New Orleans, which was quite a nice experience. We are now in New Orleans, prepping to start out tomorrow. I don't have much time to write, but I will upload some pictures to the picasa gallery momentarily.

Can't wait to see the pictures! Glad you got the stuff for Michael. I thank Julia for letting you guys stay. Nancy Weeks and Cathy Miller send their best! You realize this is forcing me to get with the program and sign up for this blog and learn how to tweet.

You should change the counter to show how long you've been biking so far. Also- I appreciate the use of technology for updates. I'll be watching....

Glad you got to New Orleans.
The photos remind my of our trip to New Orleans - Jackson Square, the French Quarter and beignets!
It's a great city.
I'll be reading Rachael's historical comments. It's a wonderful idea.
Safe trip. Hope it cools down; its hot here as well.
